Pamela's Story

I actually met Donald Shimoda first. As a 15 year old, watching the world as I waited for the school bus, I suddenly thought, this isn't all there is. Along came Richard Bach and Donald Shimoda to connect with something in me that the world wasn't. Later I was given a copy of Jonathan Livingston Seagull which emphasised to me the simplicity of just allowing ourselves to be the perfect beings we already are. From that I could live a pretty free life, going where the wind blows me, meeting lots of wonderful folks, many on the same journey.

I re-read Jonathan Livingston Seagull a few days ago. Richard, you talk about the same ideas, living love and being love, and that heaven is not a place you reach after behaving a certain way in a lifetime, but where we are in our hearts when we remember that we truly are perfect love already.

After reading Jonathan Livingston Seagull I wondered if you were still writing, and found your website. Great to find you, Richard! I always wanted to thank you. This little kid in Australia found her wings, in a big way thanks to Donald and Jonathan, and what a beautiful flight it's been and is!  Thanks Richard.

With love and best wishes,

Pamela W.
